The downturn in the economy, that so dramatically impacted the telecom industry four years ago, resulted in a dramatic drop in the quality of service to end customers. Some companies were unable to make it through the tough times and unfortunately closed their doors. This resulted in company assets being sold off for pennies on the dollar. It also left a large pool of extremely talented engineers available for employment.
In 2000, Fortress Solutions created a business case to build a top level team of support and hardware engineers, and to acquire the equipment and facilities at a fraction of their original expense. This gave Fortress Solutions the ability to provide technical support and hardware maintenance agreements at a fraction of most vendor list prices, while providing support superior to what our customers received previously.
